Radio Interface and Signal Conditioner

 

Objective: The client needed a rugged interface to match the input and output characteristics of the AN/ARC-210 Integrated Communication System with digital subsystems in both air vehicle and ground support equipment.

Device to interface CPU to ARC-210 radio provides signal conditioning and automatic PTT keying.

Result: Utilizing both Xilinx FPGA technology and mixed signal technology, Original Technology developed a unit that provided an interface for five DCP TX/RS pairs that accepted RS-422 UCARS-V2 data and conditioned the signals to meet the ARC-210 Black Wideband data requirements. Original Technology was responsible for both the mechanical and electrical design of the unit.
